Q: What about digital downloads?

A: Our recordings are available on Itunes, Rhapsody, and other digital download sites.

Q: I'm a retailer that would like to sell your recordings in my store. Where can I purchase them?

A: Our exclusive distributor in the USA is BDC Distribution based in Portland, OR. They are also available from all major one-stops. If you are located outside of the USA, please contact us at info [at] traderootmusic.com. We will soon be partnering with a variety of distributors all over the world, please check back here for updates!

Q: How do you select the artists, labels, and organizations that are with your group?

A: There's three main criteria that we use: 1) Traditional or roots music-based, 2) socially and/or politically aware, and 3) non-profit in nature or structure. There are exceptions, of course, but if you plan to submit your music for release or distribution, you should fall under one of these categories.

Q: Why do you use the packaging that you use for your CDs?

A: There are many choices a record label has for packaging their recordings. We chose all paper packaging because there is NO use of the VERY toxic and non-recycleable PVC material plastic. Even "Digipak" packaging uses PVC plastic in their CD tray. Ours do not, and are 100% recycleable. Visit the Greenpeace website for more detailed information on this.
